This property is considered to be the first housing estate for the elderly in the city of Zurich. It was acquired by the SSWZ in 2003 because the structure and construction no longer met the requirements for retirement housing applicable at the time. The property was converted to student housing in a short time without any significant changes to the floor plans. A characteristic feature of the property is the pergola access, which is recognisable from the outside. This is the ideal way to access the 31 residential units. The entrance hall with the mural by the artist Leo Leuppi (1883-1972) indicates the property's worthiness of protection. Since the floor space of the residential units is larger than the average student room, the tenants tend to be lecturers.
